I don't think their recent grand performance is a preliminary to a grand reversal.

Their last four years have been like an airline jet climbing steeply to attain a high altitude and encountering intense turbulence the whole way.

Now they have finally broken through that turbulence and are continuing to attain a desired altitude a lot more smoothly.
