Except there are not separate SEC guidelines and rules for equity holders in GSEs versus other companies. Or if you find it...we should all look at it.
And if there is no different set of SEC rules, then...
Someone SHOULD write the FHFA IG and ask how the cos and regulator are following or not following SEC rules for shareholders...or ask the IG if in fact a sep. set of rules exist. After...he's an IG, right? Might make more sense for us than writing letters to Congress. Bet the IG doesn't get a ton of mail anyway. He might like some.
