Apple has been meeting with some of their biggest share owners , actively soliciting feedback on paths they may go down with respect to a buy back/ div increase. It's happening. See link: http://macdailynews.com/2013/03/15/legg-masons-miller-apple-about-to-make-dramatic-cash-move/

Whether or not it ends up being the 50% increase the funds polled expect shouldn't matter that much. I personally think it will be a stronger move.
