If the brokers had made mistakes, they should have admitted it, and AT LEAST give everyone an IMMEDIATE refund. Instead they tried everything in their power to hold on to their ill-gotten gains, to the point of unashamedly resorting to lying.
If a cashier short changes someone, she should immediately correct that mistake. No one should have to go to court to get their correct change back. The brokers and their unyielding, bullying cohorts, the regulatory authorities, should be held accountable for their persistant avoidance of their fiduciary responsibilities.
Anyone with a healthy, unperverted sense of justice would want to see a favorable outcome for those who have been short changed.
