Sounds like a plan! You'll have to figure out a portable humidor! Plastic bags will work with something inside to hold the moisture. Maybe a small humi-pak such as comes in a box of Fuentes! Or one of the small devices the various mail order plaecs sell.
If you have access to Cubans then you certainly must have something to keep them humified! LOL
5 Vegas ain't bad. I had to ssacrifice a Feunte Hemmingway maduro yesterday, sitting out in the sunroom with a huge steaming mug of good strong coffee, looking at the lake ..... Tough!
