Hospital M&A's;

Yes, It is true what you say about cost and utilization of Hospital technology with the added expense to maintain these under utilized offerings.
I guess the same could be said about the high Density of Drug stores with the exception of a lower Technology cost, some envision this concentration will be supported by building a global Sushi Market..

I also manage 2 portfolios, one has returned over 20% in the last 4 years, the second, my non IRA has returned under 3%.
The later is highly concentrated and includes several start-up Bio tech stocks, GE, and Healthcare offerings like this one.
Nothing wrong with having someone manage your money, but after the Goldman investigation, I am highly suspect of fund managers.
Fabulas Fab was a Quant at GS who created Abacus.
The hearing is online...

Back to the discussion, Hospitals in urban or suburban locations are ingrained in our culture and community offerings.
Don't expect this to change, what will change is the level of service each hospital will provide.
That is what I have seen, Non-profits are coming under cost pressure and will be faced with additional cost pressure, don't be surprised if we see a Quasi form of Non profit /For profit hospitals emerge, and the VA has become a huge target, with a duplicate offering of services that the private sector and non-profits are focusing on.
Like the post office debate, Loads of Political landmines and defensives around this one.

As our Healthcare system is overhauled to control costs, the older generation of technology will be transferred into these less intensive Hospital settings and outcomes measured.
As in a CDO, stratifications of risk are put together to receive a outcome rating, and the American dream of a free market remain intact..
MCD has supported parents who seek intensive Children services with housing under this outlook..

My view on this direction allows the Centers of Excellence continued funding to focus on innovation and research that will continue to change the practice of medicine, this also has been the lead contributor to the emergence of Surgi-Centers and highly technical outpatient services, their outpatients are living longer with a better quality of life.

Currently the Financing in your outlook is limited, but it is a opportunity some will embrace.
