Hi, can someone remind me what was the reason for siaf to leave pink sheet for otc?
following this board, otc seems not to be highly regarded, is pink worse? or why the change?

Yes, absolutely, the real pink sheet is a lot worse. The difference is that on the OTCBB you have to be a fully SEC reporting company. On the pink sheets you don't need to file with the SEC, your annual reports also don't have to be audited.

Now there is a new kinda "system" in place which is called otcmarkets. There are 2 tiers within that otcmarkets pink sheet system, the QX and the QB tiers, if a stock is trading on these 2 tiers it has to report with the SEC as well. That system is kinda new and many many companies changed to QX and QB from their original OTCBB listing.

So now if you see a stock and it says it trades on the pink sheets, it can still be SEC reporting. That is because otcmarkets is operated by pink sheets. But there is still the "real" pink sheets "segment" out there, where companies are listed and don't have to report anything if they don't want.

It's a bit complicated if you hear if for the first time, here is a good link for you if you wanna look into it.
