ALSK IMO is in a much better position lets face they OWN the most state of the art back bone that connects Alaska to the main land. They have a presence in the state that has been there for years. They have huge technology infrastructure already built out. Not saying Verizon can not make a go at it but we have to remember that ALSK only has about 20% of the market in in Alaska. They have tons of room for growth and with the new AWN they are creating they will have a big advantage IMO. Here take a look at this Video you will see what I mean about their backbone. I think if Verizon wants to have stable network build out they will have to pony up cash and it will take time. I am not worried about Verizon at all to be honest there is plenty of room for ALSK to grow. They spent 175 million building this out just listen to this you will see what I mean about the huge back bone they have built out.
