The "bemoaning" as you call it, is a matter of education. If people don't know how phucked up it is there is no translation into political action. Even when suit is brought, there is no guarantee of judicial relief. The GATA led Silver manipulation case has been in CFTC limbo for 4 YEARS and they won't even hear the case and review the evidence.

Those entrenched in power will not relinquish it willingly.

It reminds me of the famous psychology experiment where the little monkey is given the choice to stimulate the pleasure center of his brain or eat.

Sadly, I fear it will take an armed revolution to wrest power away from those who abuse it. They will never do the right thing on their own. They would rather starve, or better put, they'd rather WE starve.
