the vatican science council probably won't recognize that snail as real for about 600 years or so, sort of like that problematical thing of having persecuted the persons that pushed Kepler's idea that the earth moves around the sun, and only recently acknowledged it as real. Copernicus and Galileo were right, but the church took centuries to accept it. Now they claim it was just a misunderstanding, and cannot be used to question papal infallibility. i say it is just more evidence of the inverse relationship between knowledge and religion.
