Now I am off on a new tangent. It integrates all my accumulated life skills and strengths.
My children contact me nearly daily and rely on my advice. I even get their college essays to edit and approve or correct by email. My daughter's husbands know exactly how loved and meaningful I am in their lives and have expressed their awe of that. They are well aware my daughter's happinesses are not to be messed with. The ground rules were clearly laid out BEFORE they go serious and at least one contender didn't make the cut. My grandchildren come running to embrace me, or be embraced. I have sound bites on my computer of their enthusiasm for running to "Poppa" as they call me, when they see me. The stick to me and grandma like glue. (Oh my gawd what a delight that is!)
