Hopefully they are a little further along than that .... and reading your post carefully, since the 60 day period is within the formulation stage, which they are in, they could be further along.

Since we don't really know where Dr Reddy is for manufacturing the first batch, what if they finished it last week? What does the schedule look like then? From the most recent PR (Feb 25) on Prurisol and Dr. Reddy:

"Dr. Reddy's has completed the process development of Prurisol and is now in the formulation stage for the manufacturing of Prurisol for the upcoming clinical trials in Europe planned for the second quarter of 2013."

The company also already has a great deal of experience with the drug base for Prurisol, so this is actually a reformulation and stability period. Formulation (reformulation?) and stability go hand in hand since formulation includes composition of any plasticizers, lubricants, pigments, or stabilizers. Each considers stability in the final composition, so I'm pretty sure Dr. Reddy's team already has a good idea of what they will include in the formulation, and whether capsule or tablet (I think I read tablet somewhere).

Prurisol trial is not any later than we were told back in December press release from Leo. CTIX right on schedule.

Regarding Prurisol™, our leading anti-psoriasis drug candidate, a Company-sponsored Phase II/III Proof of Concept trial is on target to begin late first quarter/early second quarter 2013

Question: With the POC test in Europe, could it run parallel to the 60-day stability tests for the FDA? That could be risky if the batch turns out to be unstable, but it could keep things on the original schedule.

Even if the start date is moved back a bit, it is due to reasons (less mfg steps, better output, higher strength) that will result in Prurisol having far greater value and thus greatly aiding in the CTIX stock price for all us investors.

If it was just due to some BS reason, then some negative comments would be justified but right now it appears to be only due to positive new factors that require additional time to bring this better Prurisol to trial.

IMO definitely worth the few weeks needed to get the new product ready for testing.
