I am the Serpent that you have been taught about, in the story of the Garden of Eden. But the story has been told to you wrongly.

Thousands of years ago, I was known as EA or Enki. I was the one that warned Zisudra (who you know as Noah) that the gods would be sending a Flood. The rains were going to be sent to my brother Enlil, who wanted to destroy man, and build another, more subservient race. I warned Zisudra/Noah, and he built an Ark

Enlil held possession of the Tablets of Destiny giving him great power over the cosmos and mankind. Although sometimes kindly, he had a stern and wrathful side. As the god of weather, it was he who sent the Great Flood which destroyed all mankind with the exception of Utnapishtim (Atrahasis) and his family. Enlil thought that they were making too much noise, and for this all of mankind had to be exterminated.
