#6917 RE: fois gras #6916

I have friends in New York, Chicago, California, family in North Carolina, Oregon and Florida, everybody is working, all of there friends are working.

The malls are busy, restaurants are busy, car production is up, airplane production is up, hell even Las Vegas is doing well.

What was bad, was the economy of five years ago, hundreds of thousands of americans were losing there jobs, companies were going bankrupt, and everyone was scared to death to spend money, or do much of anything.

I booked an airline ticket the other day, its for three months out, and my choices were limited, but I secured my ticket because all of the other flights were filled.

I am truly sorry you think that this economy is as bad as you think it is. America is on track to post almost 3 % growth in the GDPfor this year, and thats after We have had 52 months of continued job growth, maybe you need to just start accepting whats happening out there. Ever since the third quarter of 2009, America's GDP has been growing, thats over 13 straight quarters of growth. Thats not smoke and mirrors, that my friend is a recovery, in simple mathematical terms that have been measured for decades.

True this recovery has been spearmented by low interest rates, and Bernanke expanding the money supply, but America was coming out of the deepest financial crisis we have seen since the 1970s, and probably a comparision to the 1930s. Bernanke has done a good job, and he deserves credit for balancing everything.

Maybe you would like to back to the Fall of 2008 when things were really dire, cause I will take this economy any day of the week. My buddy who has been running the families business. They have been in operation for over 60 years, and the contracts with Indian Point and the Mearl Corporation are keeping them quite busy.

There is one thing more to consider, most two family incomes are close $ 100,000 a year, with one making about 40, and the other making 60. Now you might think $ 100,000 in yearly income is chump change when you live close to a major city, but with a close eye on your finances you can live pretty well.

Mary's family in Texas, and its a quite large family, and they are spread out curse Obama and this administration. But they are all working, buying cars, taking vacations, and having babies.

I know you will still discount all of this, but when I hear a comment like yours, or a few others in this forum I find it amazing.

I always thought that you are suppose to make your own way in America, the only ones who complain are here in this forum. I visit Twitter everyday, and there are literally hundreds of trading sights to visit, and almost everyone boasts of a good economy. True its not a great recovery, but its still a recovery, and each month it continues you can call it whatever you want, but it just keeps moving upward.

Now your DC comment is as true as ever, but Washington has always been in a constant battle with each other, thats how the fore fathers designed the system. Look back over history, there have been battles for centuries, and there have been many financial crisis along the way, but the country just keeps on chuggin along.

Been to Atlanta lately, even thjis cess pool is recovering, just try driving in that city anytime in the morning. You will see long lines of cars, and everyone is going to work. Nashville, and Knoxville, to other cities that are doing quite well, with Knoxville really doing well.

But you think what you want, but just maybe you just need to accept this economy and make the most out of it while it lasts, because ina few years, America will probably have another crisis of somekind. But at this age you should be use to them, and use the time in between to make the most of it the recoveries while they last.

Out to enjoy another weekend before Monday morning comes back.

people are paying cash with less borrowed money, I'm not sure what the "hot" air is but its better than the nation borrowing itself out of control.

its better than 2008 any way you slice it..

thats the way it is for many Americans like me and the GOV didn't have anything to do with it and it didn't matter who was in the Whitehouse Blue or Red..I could care less.. I never depended on the governement to do a thing for me. I pay their salaries with my taxes and watch both side mis spend it over spend it mis management and shuck and jive their terms in office.

I JUST GO AROUND THE BS AND THRU THE MUD.

MY ECONOMY IS BETTER BECAUSE OF WHAT I DID ABOUT IT! PERIOD.

STOP BLAMING EVERYTING AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

AN AMERICAN.
