TA measures the mood of the traders in market. People see the numbers and the charts and think it measures something concrete. It doesn't. It's group psychology.
Because groups of people are amazingly predictable, TA works. It would work if only a handful of people knew it existed. As a matter of fact, when a few Japanese rice traders developed it in the 1700s, they became filthy rich.
