Interesting sentence!
There are two new bits of information here.
1) spinning in the next few days - indicates that this first batch of the pilot program were hatched 30 to 40 days ago.
Probably just about at the time of the Jan. 22nd PR.
2) Hatch rates exceeding 60% - This is a bit lower than I would expect from optimally nurtured eggs, likely because stage one used the oldest of the stored eggs.
Also, since they have started stage 2 and are about to start stage 3, we can assume that all three stages are being seeded by stored eggs + possibly the latest egg cycle of the lab worms.
They have enough eggs that they did not need to wait for the eggs from stage 1 to seed stage 3.
