actually.....that's a technical fine point.....but very very far from the truth in reality....
1) all spending begins in the House....and, in that time frame Barney Frank, a DEMOCRAT/progressive was one of the main proponents of the plan....
2) the manufactured crisis was clevery announced 40 days before the 2008 election....McCain curtailed his campaign, went back to DC...and, announced that he concurred with the DEMOCRATS plan for the bail-out....that sealed his defeat (almost by plan)....
3) Obama was elected and immediately a TRANSITION TEAM for Obama occupied DC.....DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THEY FOUGHT AGAINST THE BAIL-OUT and tried to alleviate the crisis....
4) who was the champion of the auto industry bail-out?
the proper conclusion is that Bush as a lame duck president acceded to the Democrats plan...
