Yeah, there have been debates about getting rid of the income tax and completely replacing it with consumption taxes. One point against it is that some might decide to cut down on purchases in order to lower their taxes. It probably is not fair to have it for certain people. Just wish there was a simpler way to pay taxes than to have do file income taxes.
