a partial summary judgement could go to either side, but it would mean the same thing -- that a judge felt the case didn't need to go to trial.

logic suggests it was our attorney who made the motion for it.

Good question.

I would think "granted" would imply in favor of the plaintiff (Montecito), and "denied" would imply in favor of the defendant (WGAS/Paxton).

Of course, I'll leave it to the legal experts to debate that one.
