If they are law-abiding, no criminal records, and have proven that they are responsible over time, then they should have access to at least what they do now. Give them a surface to air missile? Of course not. Grenades? Probably not responsible, as they are extremely dangerous, even if used properly. But a 30 round magazine and a civilian-type AR, absolutely.
All should be; each of the OVER 22,000 gun laws on the books now are infringements on our Constitutionally Guaranteed Rights!
No criminal obeys laws, all the laws and regulations do is infringe, annoy, waste time, cost money, and harass law abiding citizens while DOING NOTHING to stop crime criminals, and crazy people!
Two VERY SIMPLE of examples of this;
1- Prohibition - All it did was create mob bosses, crime, criminals, and deaths and it waste a hell of lot of money doing so. Not only did it not stop alcohol in this country, many say it was more prevalent under prohibition.
2- Chicago - Most restrictive gun laws in the county, and it has not stop the guns, the deaths, the crime, and at the same time they have the highest gun death numbers in US!
