the increase in p value makes perfect sense when the new comparison is between the object and something closer to the object (bavi vs part bavi) versus bavi vs control arm. If you had bavi 3 mg vs bavi 3mg, the p value should go to .99 ( NFC Nof@#kinClue what the mathematics would be but my guess higher).
