From my limited scientific background, seems to me that pathogens don't operate differently in small hospitals than in gigantic ones. If they're dead and gone in small facilities, they'll be dead and gone in big ones.
The whole purpose of trials is to prove the efficacy of the technology. Saving the world comes next.
