The odd thing is that Hondo issued a PR announcing closure of the air permit violation, and they have two high-end engineering firms handling their Aquifer Protection Permit violations. You'd think that investors would see that as a positive, but instead the stock drops like a rock. What gives....??

By the way, retaining a high-end engineering firm (two of them in this case), does not mean they will get their APP anytime soon. Not in 9 months like the PR suggests, that's for sure. With the environmental issues with the heavy metals in the tailings, and documented groundwater contamination, surface runoff contamination, etc. it will be very, very difficult to get an APP. Just my opinion of course, but a call to ADEQ would confirm what I say.

A study was done in the 90's by the Arizona Geological Survey where they sampled surface water, surface sediments, and groundwater in the area of the Hondo operations. I will have to find the link to the report, but the results were alarming to say the least....
