I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you get better for sure. Do they know exactly what it was that creates this syndrome? Take care and GLTY

Hey, I looked into the study and some articles on it:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22305024 --STUDY
http://www.wjgnet.com/1007-9327/15/1264.pdf --STUDY

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,510193,00.html

All I'm going to say is that the studies done on chs, (a syndrome that was first "documented," back when california was leading the charge for the nation and voting on Senate Bill 420, the legalization of medicinal marijuana), were done by australian "scientists" (umm Fox? Australia? Rupert Murdoch? = trustworthy stuff. You think they do stock tips?) who were funded by opponents to the bill aka the interested pharmaceutical and drug rehab godfathers, and of course sheep republican voting no (sorry but most are lol ... please, no one take offense, I'm certainly not a democrat either).

1. People have been getting high for a very long and this syndrome just emerges when marijuana is up for legalization and the greediest of the greedy (pharma and drug-rehab) stand to lose the most;

2. The studies are really just garbage from a scientific standpoint. Some of it is really just absurd ... These "researchers" conclude that this exists and these subjects have it based on what?

Because they got 98 males aged younger that 57 I believe, who have been getting high multiple times a day, every day, for 10 or more years and suffer from nauseau, vomiting and abdominal cramps every morning? They did not even have a control in the experiments!!! (I mean these guys could have been getting high as shit till 3am every night eating tubs of ice cream playing videogames and theresearchers wouldnt know!) Nothing like this was taken into account in these "studies." Hell, it sounds to me like these guys could be depressed and the prospect of facing the day makes them feel that way. Was it dry heaving? The study doesnt take it into account so oh well I guess.

I'm not trying to make light of your illness, but here's the kicker: The only relief that all patients seem to share, (other than by quitting marijuana), is a nice hot bath ..... um?

From a forum for sufferers of CHS:

I've been a daily smoker for the last ten or so years, except that in recent months not so much. I have also been one to experience nausea and vomiting in the morning soon after I wake and it has subsided recently. It seems that there is a correlation between my cannabinoid use and these symptoms. Though I have not noticed constant abdominal pains, I do get sharp, transient pains in my abdomen/lower torso. I have not noticed any symptom relief uypon bathing, though I have not payed much attention.

Thanks for posting that Venrak.

That is interesting about the bath not providing relief from your symptoms as my observations echo your experience. The only place I have read that a bath or shower reduces symptoms is on Wikipedia and in media articles on Hyperemesis like the Aussie one where patients where demanding to use the shower in accident and emergency.

But like I said, I am not trying to make light of what you suffer from. I'm just saying when the only difference between CHS and a well-accepted disease in the medical community, like cyclical vomiting syndrome, is whether you find the bath refreshing or not, I'd maybe get a second opinion. I work with and against doctors, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies in my line of work, and you better believe that every time a doctor chooses to prescribe to you one drug over another there was a very nice and very free lobster dinner for your doctor sometime before then.

From a forum on a marijuana site:

Many times, before 2004 people who smoked marijuana and had cannabinoid hyperemesis, were diagnosed with cyclical vomiting syndrome, because the symptoms are exactly the same except that cannabinoid hyperemesis can be relieved sometimes by a hot bath. The first time i went to the hospital I yelled at the top of my lungs at the nurses for a hot bath, almost getting violent. I lost 2 great jobs, you know, 50k a year out of highschool
