mva5, don't discount Elmer. He brings a pool of knowledge to this board that no one else does. Granted, there are things he says that I don't agree with, but he does know his particular area.

OT: Fool board. Do you remember times when fools.com proudly dislayed their portfolios on the front page? In last two years I can't see those portfolios at all. I wonder, do they still have them? What's the return?

mva5, I agree that this forum is much nicer than a lot of AMD forums I have been to before, where the partisan opinion was gospel and feelings for the contrary were often met with hostility. So far, I feel relatively welcome here (even though I am frequently bearish on AMD). I've also known Elmer for quite some time, and although he is steadfast in his opinions, they usually are quite informed, and he has had a history of successful trading with the company. So in my opinion, "FUD" is probably the wrong word. Although, many people think I use a lot of FUD, but I also admit that I am willing to hear another point of view. Having said that I think AMD is a good investment for anyone betting that they will survive the next year or two. If they do, their very strong architecture should carry them forward and return them to profitability. AMD's task has been a hard one, since from the beginning they have gone up against a strong and effective competitor who doesn't make it easy to gain market share. I look forward to hearing your views, but I hope we can remain impartial and friendly. Warm regards,
