Most definitely Zoomboom! The Alzheimer's and Parkinson's blood tests are very valuable! In fact, it's very hard to place any small value on them for the vital importance and significance they represent. Both my Mom and my Dad had dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. So my whole family, my two Sisters, my Brother and I are all candidates for acquiring Alzheimer's because it runs in our family. And even though none of us show any symptoms yet, we would still want to get tested regularly if there is a test available. I'm only 55, but I would start testing for it now. I would want to get tested for it on a yearly basis with each yearly checkup. Even if insurance wouldn't pay for it I would be more than willing to fork out the money to pay for the test myself. You just can't place a value on how important it is to know in advance as soon as possible so you can plan ahead with your life if you find out you've been diagnosed before the symptoms start. Also you stand a much better chance of slowing or stopping the process from happening in treating for it and changing your lifestyle to help alleviate the effects if you know more in advance.
