Oh I have read the patent. (and used to be a patent agent for a while) ... all you need to know is in the claims, all else is fluff. The description can say anything it wants, but only the claims have legal binding.

And here is the claim, (it is basically a chain that builds on claim 1; as in it starts by claim 1 being the broadest and the rest of the claims refine it. The lower claims cannot broaden the top claim of this method patent)

1. A method of treating diseases caused by oxidative stress , comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a cannabinoid that has substantially no binding to the NMDA receptor to a subject who has a disease caused by oxidative stress.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the cannabinoid is nonpsychoactive.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the cannabinoid has a volume of distribution of 10 L/kg or more.
