I'm sure you could find out where they buy their paint by e-mailing them. I don't watch it often enough to remember the names of all of the designers, but one of my sister's does. In fact, her back yard was redone by HGTV's Landscape Challenge show.
What I'd like to have is one of their great carpenters. I could keep them busy for weeks. I bought a fixer house two years ago and have been through extensive remodeling so far and still it is not complete. I tried to skip the general contractor and hired subs myself. BAD idea. Now I know why GC's are so important.
Susie... I happen to love Hildies personal style, I think she is stunning. I do believe she would be the best designer providing there were no budgetary constraints (minor problem) lol. Doug is also very good, I see him as the Simon Cowell ...you love to hate but have to agree with. As far as the paint goes...I remember hearing they get it free from HD and Lowes where they have sections of paint that people have returned (wrong color etc. )and the stores give it away. I always forget to check when I am in either store.
