..wow, great haunting piece Murray. If anyone's in the New York Area, WKCR has a memorial broadcast for Donald Byrd which started early this morning and lasts till 6:45 pm. WKCR is the Columbia University radio station, where Donald received three degrees, including two Masters', and a Doctorate at Columbia University's Teachers College. If your not from the area, you may be able to access via the internet...I'm not sure.

On a side note....he lived in the town I grew up in....just a short drive from where I am now.
