Slow holiday PC season in U.S.?

I think it's a little premature to write off the holiday PC season on 11/9. Consumers have been trained to put off technology buys until the last minute as PC prices always seem to drop overnight while the platforms keep improving.

Certainly areas of the U.S. devastated by the recent hurricane will see a sharp drop, but that's a relatively small percentage of the entire U.S. market.

P.S. I'm was waiting for the Fab 36 ramp to upgrade my aging dual 1700+ with a cheap X2. However, my patience is beginning to wane.
