I'm not a big Gas fan, but the realist and the cynic in me says that he's probably not that far off from the truth.
As best as we can determine, Rabin was around during some of the Caldwell toxic funding days and, as I recall a post said that Rabin was associated with one of the funding firms.

Given the promise of Lanza's research, it has always been difficult for me to comprehend how ACTC wasn't able to, or unwilling to, attract a more suitable development biotech savy ceo, in their search process. In fairness, however, another part of me says Rabin appears to have had the smarts to bring the global settlement matter to conclusion and to establish some strategic clinical testing sites, so a rush to judgement may be premature and unjustified.

In the final analysis, I think one must conclude that ACTC was in one terrible financial mess and it takes a lot of time to straighten something like that out and in the meantime, long term investors patience has been sorely tested given the initial high expectations for the price of the stock and it's promise.
