futr -- plenty of indications that we're seeing/living through the last of as good as it's ever gonna be for us, that our time here is in twilight -- not only have we already pretty well completely overgrown and hit the wall of our petri dish -- we're also rapidly creating the new intelligent life that will not be inherently dependent on the biosphere, as are we, and will, rapidly, leave what of us does not merge with it behind

but what the heck -- it is a very cool and very interesting time to be alive (and fortunate enough in life to be able to look after myself and do as I like/choose)
