You seem like a minority here thinking that someone is going to throw away equipment bought last year simply because there is something better on the market. That won’t happen so let’s be realists. We are dealing with bureaucracies and if they bought something last year that was approved by TSA – they will keep it until it is time to replace it.
But, on the positive note I like the fact that B220 is the only ETD approved and from now on the TSA site says that the grandfarthered equipment from Morpho and Smith should not be purchased. Look under the Grandfathered ETD title. We don’t even have to wait until Morpho’s and Smith’s approvals expire. We are the only game in town as of today.
Also, to someone who was crying about the contracts not being signed, I would think that most of the customers needed the B220 to appear on this list to be able to buy it. Just the word from the company was not enough. Of course, they could call the TSA and double check and start preparing the paperwork , but nothing could be finalized until the TSA site confirms the B220 is approved.
