Just as an interesting and relevant aside, I recently bought a new house and for the past month or so I've been replacing all my incandescent and compact-fluorescent light bulbs with LED equivalents; they use much less power, they generate minimal waste heat, and they last MUCH longer (I have some that are predicted to last 35 years with regular use!).
And most if not all of the LED"s I've purchased were manufactured in China.
And I've shaved at least about $25 off my monthly electric bill (I was around $70, now around $45) just by switching to the LED's.
So, can I see this as a hot market for B.I. to make some serious inroads with? Yes, absolutely.
EDIT: oh, and at that rate of savings vs what I've paid for each LED, they will have paid for themselves in about 2 to 3 years (I've bought/installed about a couple dozen).
