The bottom line is that the results provided evidence of efficacy. To the uniformed, news of a "mixup" meant that was the reason that the data were so good. But adding placebo to SOC cannot possibly improve the SOC. If there was an improvement to the SOC, it could have been only from Bavi. If Bavi was non-effective, then the results would have been the same for all three arms and would have been consistent with SOC historical, regardless of any mixup. Some to this day still do not understand this.
