I might be interested two years from now. In fact, yes, if things work out according to my hopes/dreams, I would be interested--two years from now.

ace...wasn't me..i'm not art guy. i love going through museums, I like what I like, and I bought a few thousand in pieces that "moved" me...but I could have been robbed blind, or my taste may not line up with critics...I'm no hound, just the equivalent of an internet message board lurker...I appreciate, but don't get too vocal about it

Super OT: Classical Gas or Who's Yer Dada?

Hey Acey, I read about your friend and like a thunderbolt of an idea conked me over the head, sort of like that a piece of blue ice from a jetliner's toilet. I got up and had a thought, and, after recovering from that novelty, I wonder:

--Does your friend do commissioned work?

Becawse if he do, I'd like him to make me a life size bronze 3D version of one of those Trucker Mud Flap Gurls...I am not kidding, really!

I envision it as a blend of Classical Formalism mixed up (always when I am involved) with some Henry Moore/Mondrian Minimalism crossed with American Populist Culture at it's uh, Finest :)

I'd encourage him to channel Kate Upton as his Muse in order to channel the proper dimensions...my suggestion [leer] would be for him to do a Remington size sculpture first (that I can probably afford) and then he can use that to probably sell a full size one to some rich collector. My guess is he would get a lot of orders for these if he can render her decolletage accurately.

FYI that I already tried to make her on my 3D Printer but the machine had trouble finishing the job; it got very hot, shook violently, then shut down and finally started smoking...so maybe a more old school approach could bring this idea to life. Just call me Pigmalion...
