Does the new Ford Escape mean the Model T does work? Nope, doesn't mean that at all.
Does this mean that the first 2 processors don't/won't work or have a limited/reduced run capacity (perhaps explaining why they haven't been producing for years) and are now obsolete/scrap metal?
The Boeing 707 was a great jet, but the next model came out with increased performance. The 707's continued to fly for many more years making money for the owners while the newer 727's allowed the airlines to expand service to more areas.
The present #1 & #2 processors have a rated capacity of 4000lbs/hr. and as far as information is available are running at those rates.
There has been some speculation on the board that the #3 when operational will have a higher rated capacity.
In comparison with obsolete scrap metal, they seem to be very valuable machines.
