I grew up in a small town in VT...It is vastly different than a City...Vermonts largest city is around 55,000...And there are no State gun laws because they are prohibited by the State Constitution...One legislator put in a bill to ban assault weapons, and pulled it yesterday when he realized it was against the state constitution...Of course there are more hunting rifles in the state than Hand-guns...
Also, Howard Dean did a wonderful job as governor there...He is bveloved by fellow Vermonters...
