Very nice DD, TOB. A very impressive record of Dr. Menon's accomplishments. Of course, that won't prevent the same old tired attacks aaginst him from resurfacing again in the future whether it is next week, next month, or next year. I've been posting against that bogus article since it was published in 2008 yet it keeps popping up very now and then.

In case anyone missed the closing quote of the comment setting the record straight about Dr Menon; the portion enclosed in quotes was originally written by Dr. FeelGood about 2 years ago.

That gives an idea of how long these bogus attacks on Dr Menon's reputation have been circulating and how long ago they were discredited. The existence of these peer reviewed papers in the scientific literature clearly documents Dr Menon's standing a research scientist. It is a stark contrast to a discredited 'article' by a hack writing for a small community rag which has since been removed from that site and is available only in cache form.

I verified and added clickable links to each peer reviewed paper written by Dr Menon, and then added the link to the other 20 papers written by Dr Menon hosted on that site, and the closing paragraph.

Usually I make it more clear what is a quote, but this one didn't look good in a quote box and I can see where the closing " could get lost.

Normally I would add (-Dr FeelGood) and make that a clickable link to the original quote, but I was rushing a bit as I was in the middle of an options trade.

Excellent and comprehensive DD... its a shame that it keeps needing to be repeated.

Many of the articles which have Menon as a co-author list B A Teicher as the first author. I did some searching and discovered that Beverly A Teicher is now VP, Oncology Research at Genzyme.

She's also the editor of five books, two of which I've linked below.

B A Teicher book 1

B A Teicher book 2

And by the way, to show how easy it is to get facts confused.

I wrote:

Again, Dr. Menon has a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Harvard -TOB

When I meant to write:

Again, Dr. Menon has a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Kerala University

I knew this at the time, yet didn't catch my mistake. Not being perfect.

Dr Menon did work at Harvard's Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute under the direction of the legendary Dr. Emil Frei.

So that's an example of how something can get confused and then re-posted. As has happened before, apparently first at another company and then in a CTIX 10-K 6 years ago. Yet corrected in every 10-K and public information since.

And here I made a similar mistake. Was I lying? Was Dr. Menon lying in the 2009 10-K? Or was a mistake made by the actual writer, and later corrected once noticed as in my case?

Only a very harsh opinion calls such a mistake "lying" when it is obviously a mistake that was duly corrected.

The statement:

"Dr. Menon has a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Harvard."

is false. This originally appeared in the CTIX 10K filing for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009. However, it was corrected the in following year's (2010) 10K filing. This can be verified by comparing the following two filings:

This form, filed 2009-10-08 showed the incorrect Harvard reference: https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1355250/000135525009000018/form10k.htm

This form, filed 2009-10-20 showed the correction (no Harvard ref): https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1355250/000135525010000023/form10k.htm
