No they do not work for Epic IMO but they invested considerably more than the Epic Officers did.

Look at the very small amount that the Epic officers actually own on their filed Form 4s.

The outsiders are simply Financial types that were given the opportunity to participate on Epic's guaranteed backing of Elite's operations.
