#1274 RE: lonewisher #1273

Here is a reprint of some information I found and posted in October of last year. It is based on a Mexican Government study which was done in 2011:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Some additional information on processing plants near Parral, again from the Government's study. There are three suitable and operational plants listed, each of which is located about 13 miles from the center of Parral. Two of them are very large (3,000 tpd and 6,100 tpd) and one has a capacity of 150tpd. Using these plants would add about 25 miles to the round trip to deliver concentrate (by "concentrate" I mean washed tailings) from the tailings pile to one or more of these plants. This would effectively triple the round trip distance (to about 36 miles). So the logistics of 200 tpd gets more difficult and more expensive, but not impossible.

All of these plants are privately owned. The two largest are in the mountains southwest of Parral near the border between Chihuahua and Durango provinces. They appear to be supporting active mining operations. The 150 tpd plant is in Villa Matamoros, southeast of Parral. Not yet clear to me what it is supporting.

So there are the options for piggybacking. My idea is not to "maintain good relations with the Mexican Government...," although that would be a very good thing to do. It is to have a back-up plan for the day when LSTG's own plant has some problem none of us can foresee.

IMO, again, the Mexican Government's plant is the best bet the Company has. That shouldn't keep them from looking for a better option. Let's all hope they are doing so.
