Yeh but those movies on tape are going to deteriorate over the years to where you'll just have some brittle pieces of dust. Now, while you're at the store, CC hopefully, buy a dvd recorder to place all of those old, obsolete, rewinding nightmares onto small, durable, little disks that you can enjoy forever and your children enjoy forever, and your grandchildren to enjoy forever.

The PC gaming industry as a whole is not like the console gaming industry.

PC games are "open" unlike console games. You can explore the cd and find cracks in the gaming system.

When was the last time you saw a commercial for a big PC game that came out.

DOOM3, F.E.A.R, QUAKE3 are all megahit big PC games that came out. Yet you saw no commercials for it on television. a game like F.E.A.R had millions of pre-orders before it hit the sleves. PC gamers usually get advertisment from online through word of mouth/forums/gaming sites etc. Its a whole different system for the PC market. So renting a PC game is a whole different system as well.

PC games can last more then 10 months. PC games come with multiplayer fuctionality to play online.

It doesnt make sense to rent a $50 game for 5 months per person.

And the PC gaming industry would also suffer a loss because ONCE you have the game installed and you do send it back...someone could easily download a crack to play the game because it is still installed on your system.

No other rental company rents PC games..Blockbuster, Gamefly, etc doesnt do it because there is no profit in it.
