#134280 RE: ieddyi #134279

The why is because of Repubs not living up their signed agreements - ie - saying -- "It's not the right time " -- etc , etc. etc.. It is never the right time for LIARS to be caught -- if you be the LIAR

so, I was just watching Kit Bond, Republican Senator, member of the Intelligence Committee, explain that this is all unnecessary, because we all know now that Wilson's trip to Africa didn't cast doubt on whether Saddam was trying to get uranium from Niger, rather it supported that view, and furthermore, that Wilson's trip wasn't authorized by Dick Cheney, no it was authorized by his wife, so Wilson himself by misrepresenting the findings of this trip is to blame for his wife being outed as a CIA agent in the press. [This was all supposed to make sense.]

I need to be enlightened a little more. Why exactly was it that Libby and Rove decided it was necessary to tell Novak and others about Plame's job, when all they had to do was to point to Wilson's work itself, that Bond says actually supported their allegations about Saddam in the first place? If the latter is true, all they had to do was get the exculpatory evidence from Wilson's trip published.

Why Bush lied....

Who the hell knows anymore. I've lost track! hahahahahahaha

Asked in June 2004 if he'd stand by his pledge to fire anyone found to have leaked, Bush replied "yes." [Bush Press Conference: Savannah, GA, 6/10/04]

When the White House was asked specifically whether Karl Rove, Elliot Abrams or Lewis Libby told any reporter that Valerie Plame worked for the CIA, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said: "Those individuals -- I talked -- I spoke with those individuals, as I pointed out, and those individuals assured me they were not involved in this. And that's where it stands." [White House Briefing, 10/10/03]

"I don't know of anybody in my administration who leaked classified information. If somebody did leak classified information, I'd like to know it, and we'll take the appropriate action." [Bush Remarks: Chicago, Illinois, 9/30/03]

"The President has set high standards, the highest of standards for people in his administration. He's made it very clear to people in his administration that he expects them to adhere to the highest standards of conduct. If anyone in this administration was involved in it, they would no longer be in this administration." [White House Briefing, 9/29/03]
