I don't see NEW shorters coming in. These shorters that are going out are the shorters who are buying to cover after having borrowed the shares long ago. That's why the short numbers in the bi-weekly report have declined continually since last June, June being the highest number of short shares.

The Insitutional Shorters can hold the price down by drawing down the bid with big number offers below the bid price.

When the MM goes down to pick the lower bid up and get the bigger money on the bigger trade, the shorters have then officially bought to cover and are gone.

So we hang here while the shorts do their churn to change hands.

Yes! Except that the probably of any good run will most likely involve a breakeven or profitability announcement, or an excellent sales pr. In those cases, the run will involve much higher numbers, imo.

No one knows in advance of the Q3.
