not really, per the last few PR's, they were in consultation with the DTCC and FINRA. If DTCC and FINRA approves a cusip change. Those brokers will have to follow their master and will be broker. ;-)

"BCIT is going to have to sue the brokers."... What is it that's making your mind think of that??? Why and for what reason would BCIT sue the brokers?

The publicity alone has potential of resulting in big financial loss in ETrade stock value. IMO, all brokers involved in this cannot afford the backlash and will submit, in time. This has the potential to destroy the trust of investors in these institutions.
