TDOX appears to do the impossible -- it actually reduces the recurrence of IDR.
If so, no wonder it would be a first-line treatment used for tumors of all sizes.
It makes sense though intuitively....the so-called "distant" recurrence tumors probably are usually very close to the outside of the margins of the first tumor and we know TDOX creates a huge lesion well beyond the margin, probably killing some microsatellite cancer cells that would have gone on to become new, IDR tumoros.
