Oct. Is Deadliest Month in Iraq Since Jan.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Six American soldiers were killed in separate attacks Monday and a Marine died in action the day before, making October the deadliest month for U.S. troops in Iraq since January. U.S. jets struck insurgent targets near the Syrian border and at least six people were killed. Four soldiers from the Army's Task Force Baghdad soldiers died Monday when their patrol struck a roadside bomb in Youssifiyah, 12 miles south of Baghdad in an area known as the "triangle of death."

just for the record -- ww2 was my war -- 500,000 American military dead in 1300 days -- average 370 every day, 2600 every week, 11,100 every month

Joined the Montana Guard on my 17th birthday in 1948 -- served 12 years with the hero/survivors of that war as our officers and cadre

Now we are engaged in a war with millions of Islamofacists who intend to kill everyone of us -- and right now the score in their favor is about 5000 innocent americans (being as they started their killing in 1977) against 2,000 military committed to stopping their madness

Sorry, I don't cry and wring my hands about military deaths -- I just treasure their courage and sacrifice, that will insure that this nation continues enjoying its freedoms

I am also highly suspicious that the libs/dems/lefties have an agenda of using these courageous men and women as pawns in their political games
