Jack Hammered, of course Windows has more bugs than Linux. Just count the number of hardware and software applications which must work seamlessly with Windows. Linux typically has a known set of hardware which is reliably qualified to run with it, and a huge set supported by freeware of varied quality. Same with software applications.

If you compare the set of things which ship with Linux with their Windows counterparts, you will see that Windows is less buggy. But Windows swims in a much larger universe of applications.

That is the paradox. However, the Opteron-first strategy neatly sidesteps the issue because there are a limited number of server applications which need to work reliably, and no legacy hardware. I am expecting great things from x86-64 SuSE!
