I guess to me personally, complying with a subpoena is non-news; neither an admission of guilt nor innocence, since one is supposed to comply with a subpoena by law.

On the other hand, I feel non-compliance is more of an indication that the subpoenas have little merit, or as one of the mentioned vendors said, "the burden and cost of the discovery outweighs its likely benefit."

This tells me what Toshiba and NEC think as far as the lawsuit being frivolous or not, but I admit it's more indirect, rather than having them just come out and say it. There were other articles where vendors (I believe Dixons was one of them) openly said they had no such dealings with Intel that the lawsuit had claimed, but I could not find these.
