Entitlements are the focus of the Republican party that has the majority in Congress.
But you know that.

Important to understand:
Every dollar that is taken in SS is spent by Congress.
There is a special Treasury note to record the debt owed to Americans who contribute.

Must I say the obvious? Okay, I will-------
Reducing the payment to Americans in their entitlement of Social Security payments
Will give Congress more money to spend or fund the deficit they produced.

It's time we used taxation as a tool to discourage unwanted behavior:
1)Tax Capitol gains as earned income,
2)A transaction tax on equity, forwards and especially derivatives of 1%.
